Flash floods hit Sebauh district in northern Sarawak - Nation

MIRI: An unexpected heavy downpour caused flash floods to hit the Sebauh district in northern Sarawak on Sunday morning. The floods, which rose to as high as one metre, inundated SK Ulu Segan and its surrounding villages. "The flood water rose to 1.2metres but no evacuation has been carried out yet. "Bomba teams are on hand to assist the flood victims at the school and nearby affected villages," said the report. The flash flood was unexpected as northern Sarawak had been free from major flooding incidents for the past month.
