Flames prospect Phillips would rather not horse around

Sure, the Calgary Flames prospect is participating in his fourth summer development camp since being drafted in the sixth round (166th overall) of the 2016 National Hockey League draft. “I’m not really great with big animals,” Phillips admitted with a grin, chatting after being put through the paces at WinSport’s Markin McPhail Centre. Chances are, neither are the 39 others in the group that was invited to this year’s Flames camp. A handful of players are in his group, including Flames blueliner Michael Stone, former Flame Brett Kulak and forward Dillon Dube.
