Five new local transmissions in Sarawak


PUTRAJAYA: Five out of seven new cases in the country were local transmissions detected in Sarawak, said the Health Ministry. Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said three were foreigners and two were Malaysians. The last time was on Aug 20 when the country saw zero local transmissions and only five import cases. So far, all 65 patients in the Tawar cluster have not recovered and are still undergoing treatment at hospitals. Previously, Dr Noor Hisham said investigation had shown physical distancing rules were not fully adhered to at the gathering.
