Five more city burglaries reported to police

Five more burglaries have been reported in Dunedin and Mosgiel, after police issued a warning this week about a spate of break-ins in the city. Acting Senior Sergeant Trevor Thomson, of Dunedin, said the following burglaries were reported from Wednesday this week:• A Suzuki DR-Z400 yellow and white trail bike was taken from a home in Wray St, Brockville, between 8pm Wednesday and 3am Thursday. Earlier this week, police warned homeowners to be vigilant following several burglaries in some of the city’s affluent neighbourhoods. Constable Kylie Batten, of Dunedin, said there had been several burglaries over the past few weeks in the suburbs of Roslyn, Maori Hill and Belleknowes. "A large number of these items hold significant sentimental value to the victims of the burglaries," Const Batten said.
