Five get death penalty for killing Gazipur manA Gazipur court on Sunday sentenced six people to death for killing a man at the district’s Joydebpur area in the year of 2008.In its verdict, the court of District and Sessions Judge awarded the death penalty to five persons and life sentence for another. The convicts were also fined by Tk 10,000 each, reports bdnews24.com.Public Prosecutor Md Harichh Uddin Ahmed said 42-year-old Abu Sayeed, who was a contractor, was strangled to death on the night of Jun 17, 2008 at Joydebpur’s Dhirasram neighbourhood.
