more-inFollowing the footsteps of other States running canteens for the poor, the Haryana government plans to provide food at subsidised rates at five canteens in four of its districts. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar is set to launch the five canteens under “Antodaya Aahar Yojana” on February 15. Stating that the government was serious about opening these canteens next month, he blasted the Labour Department officials for their lackadaisical attitude towards the scheme. Tender floatedAdditional Labour Commissioner, NCR, Naresh Narwal, said the proposed canteen at Bhim Nagar will be functional by mid-February. The difference will be borne by the Food and Supplies Department, Labour Department, and Building and Other Construction Workers’ Board,” said Mr. Narwal.
