KOTA KINABALU: Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Authority (MMEA) is concerned over the rising cases of encroachment by fishermen near Sabah's 17 oil rigs. Mohd Zubil said this today during the state security agencies working visit to monitor oil rigs at the west coast of Sabah. He said some of the fishermen, although small in number, were also found to be conducting fish bombing activities near the rigs which are clearly dangerous. "The fishing boats would have left by the time the MMEA or marine police patrol team arrived at the area. Mohd Zubil said there was a need for the state security agencies to discuss and come up with a solution to the problem.
