Callan Hornegold was just about to turn four years old when he was killed outside his Oxted, Surrey, home. The three-year-old had been riding his skateboard when the incident happened at around 10.40am on Sunday, June 2. He died at around 2.05pm at East Surrey Hospital, just under two hours after police, paramedics and an air ambulance arrived at the scene, reports Surrey Live. (Image: SurreyLive/ WS)Following the inquest his family released a tribute through Surrey Police, saying: “On Sunday afternoon, our family suffered the most horrendous loss of our beautifully wild, loving and funny little boy. “We have a very long road ahead of us and respectfully request that we are allowed to quietly grieve alone.”
