First fabrication lab opened in Caragahome/Business/Sunday Business/First fabrication lab opened in CaragaThe country’s first fabrication laboratory was recently launched at the Caraga State University (CSU), the Trade department said on Friday. The Department of Trade and Industry said the P12 million Caraga Fabrication Laboratory is now open to serve the public and The Micro, small and mediumenterprises (MSMEs). Funded thru DTI’s Shared Service Facility (SSF) program, Caraga’s Fabrication Laboratory is a small-scale workshop offering digital fabrication, generally equipped with flexible computer-controlled tools. DTI’s Regional Director, Brielgo O. Pagaran said the fabrication laboratory would be a great help to spur growth in Caraga. He said that at present, many inventions from Caraga were not in the market due to lack of “state of the art” facility to mass produce the prototype.
