CALGARY—The first 14 prospective cannabis store locations in Calgary got a green light from the city Monday, pending any outstanding conditions of their applications and the end of a three-week appeal period. Two of the company’s stores had their applications approved on Monday. Since Monday, City of Calgary staff have worked to process 261 cannabis store applications. All stores will need to have a variety of features, including motion sensors, a mesh-lined cannabis storage room, and panic buttons at all points of sale.
