Neelu Rohmetra New Delhi, Feb. 10: The IIMs today got their first woman director when Neelu Rohmetra broke a 56-year-old glass ceiling and was named to head one of the elite B-schools in Himachal Pradesh. Never since the first IIM was established in Calcutta in November 1961 has a woman become the executive head of any of the institutions that now number 20. Rohmetra, who will move from University of Jammu's B-school to the IIM in Himachal Pradesh's Sirmaur, was among 10 professors appointed directors of various IIMs today. Before Rohmetra, Keya Sengupta had helmed IIM Shillong briefly but as acting director. The results of CAT announced last month ranked 20 students as 100 percentile scorers, all of them males.
