A total of 10 firefighting units rushed to the scene, and brought the flames under control after a 40-minute long effort. Talking to Dhaka Tribune, Adabar police station OC SM Kawser Ahmed said the fire reportedly broke out from an oil tank lorry at Sahil Filling Station at around 5:25pm. No casualties were reported as people inside the filling station managed to come out before fire went deadly. Meanwhile, the blaze created panic among locals in the area, and caused a traffic jam on the road adjacent to the refuelling station.
