Fire and Emergency New Zealand said they were alerted to the fire, at an address on Lord Rutherford Road North, at 12.24pm. Shift manager Lyn Crosson said crews from Brightwater, Richmond, Wakefield, Stoke and Nelson attended, and contained the fire in a garage.
