Photo: File imageDiamond Harbour residents have been pondering the potential for a dog park. Resident Liz Wyllie recently suggested the idea on the Diamond Harbour Facebook group. Another resident suggested the idea in June, with many people supporting it. Christchurch City Council community parks manager Al Hardy said for a dog park to be established on city council parks land, people should first get support from their local community board. If the park was supported, the community board could then request city council staff investigate the suitability of an area and any funding available to assist with its establishment.
