Fire and Emergency were called at 6.05pm on Boxing Day about a building on fire in the suburb of Rototuna. "There is a 30 metre by 30 metre property well involved in fire. We have crews from Hamilton, Pukete and Ngāruawāhia and Whitikahu so we have approximately 24 fire fighters in attendance," shift commander Paul Radden said. He knew of no injuries.
