Fire crews rush to Northland oil refinerySTEPHEN RUSSELL/FAIRFAX NZ Marsden Point Oil Refinery is New Zealand's only oil refinery. A small blaze at Marsden Point Refinery has been put out. Refinery spokesman Greg McNeil said the refinery's small on-site fire crew quickly extinguished the "small fire within a matter of minutes". GOOGLE Marsden Point is about 35 km drive southeast of Whangarei. As a precaution eight Fire Service engines from nearby Whangarei rushed to New Zealand's only oil refinery.
