A fire has broken out at Baburhat wholesale textile market in Narsingdi – the largest in Bangladesh. At least nine units of firefighters rushed to the market after the fire started near the Baburhat Merchants Association office around 11:15pm on Sunday. Citing the traders, bdnews24.com’s Narsingdi Correspondent Asaduzzaman Ripon said from the site that it was unclear from where the fire had originated as the market houses around 2,500 shops on narrow corridors.
