Emergency services were called to a "well involved" fire at a property on Rossiter Ave in Redwood just after 10pm on Saturday. Police are guarding a Christchurch house after a suspicious fire ripped through it on Saturday night. Emergency services were called to the blaze on Rossiter Ave, in Redwood, just after 10pm. Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman Mau Barbara said the property at the single-storey house was "well involved" in fire when four crews from Harewood, St Albans and Christchurch Central arrived. Barbara said the blaze was potentially suspicious and a fire investigator was at the scene determining the cause early on Sunday.
