Waikato University associate professor of leadership Peter Sun believes a new generation of workers could push businesses to grant leave for OEs or adopt a four day working week. It's one of the ideas being tossed about as a way to deal with generational change in the workforce, Waikato University associate professor of leadership Peter Sun said. "I have spoken to many of the CEOs who find it challenging because they [millennials] don't work at one place for too long." It's these changing ethics that can push businesses to adopt new structures like the four day working week, Sun said. Sun believes three "levers" can be used to meet future workforce challenges: leadership, innovation and sustainability.
