Jamshedpur: A major fire broke out in the Coke plant at Tata Steel’s Jamshedpur factory. According to a series of tweets by Tata Steel, a blasting sound was reported in a coke plant today morning. The coke plant at Tata Steel’s Jamshedpur Works was non-operational and is undergoing a dismantling process, the tweet added. In another tweet, Tata Steel stated that three contract employees have sustained minor injuries and were administered first aid. Tata Steel has said that the incident had no impact on production.
