Fiordland is facing up to 40% unemployment, with many tourism business saying they're unsure about their future. He didn't notice much of a difference over the school holidays in Te Anau. Came back to Te Anau, none. Once the wage subsidy's gone off, I don't know how places like Te Anau can survive. While Fiordland businesses face an unknown future, they're planning to fight to stay open and continue welcoming visitors to their region.
