Blacks Hill travelled to Cromwell and, batting first, was dismissed for 144, with Alex Gibson top-scoring with 48. Amrit Gossal took an incredible six wickets for 16 runs off seven overs, while Alec Gunson took the other four wickets for the cost of 55 runs. Cromwell was always on the back foot chasing the low total, and could only muster 126, with Ross Anderson top-scoring with 24. Angus Dykes did most of the damage, taking five wickets for 19 runs off seven excellent overs. The clash between Queenstown Wakatipu and Queenstown Ballarat was abandoned after play was washed out.
