The company announced its decision to issue Subordinated Redeemable Non-Convertible bonds and raise Tk 2.5 billion through Private Placement at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Monday. The decision, however, awaits the approval of regulatory body Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) and Bangladesh Bank. Financial institutions are taking various measures to reduce risk and increase the capital stock in keeping with Bangladesh Bank guidelines. Many banks and financial institutions have recently taken to issuing bonds to raise capital. The lot size for the Union Capital bonds will be Tk 10 million.
