Life, Animated (Thursday, 6.15pm) is a feature documentary from the US about autistic Owen Suskind, who at age 3 stopped talking. (Saturday, 6pm, Tuesday, 1.30pm) This is more than a soul singing-explosive film about an artist whose singing has most often been compared to James Brown's. Elle (Tuesday, 3.30pm, Wednesday, 8pm) Screening twice and closing the festival is this French psychological thriller directed by Dutch master Paul Verhoeven.
