San Francisco-bound flight diverted after smoke in cabinSUPPLIED A United Airlines flight was diverted after smoke filled the cabin. United Airlines says a flight from Los Angeles to San Francisco was diverted to Santa Barbara after smoke was reported in the passenger cabin following a mechanical problem. United spokeswoman Maddie King says Flight 460 landed without incident at Santa Barbara Municipal Airport around 7:20 pm Monday (Tuesday NZ time). King says all 140 passengers on the Airbus 320 were placed on other flights to San Francisco. No injuries were reported from the incident.
