After boiling and seasoning the seafood, Amit picked up a poisonous “devil” crab and ate it for her viewers to see. She died on Feb 6, just two days after consuming the “devil crab”. Luddy Jemang, the Luzviminda village head, said police officers dispatched to the home of the deceased found brightly coloured devil crab shells discarded there. Philippine authorities have since issued a warning for the public to exercise increased caution when consuming wild seafood.
