A measles vaccination campaign led by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) began Tuesday (March 17) in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, where hundreds of children were immunized on the first day as health workers carried out mass inoculations across hospitals and health centers in Goma. MSF medical team leader Monique Diarra warned that immunization gaps continue to drive transmission in vulnerable communities.
