LACONIA — There will be a special state primary election held Jan. 9 for state representative for Belknap County District No. This is the seat previously held by Don Flanders, who died Sept. 28. Declarations of candidacy may be filed with the City Clerk, Laconia City Hall, 45 Beacon St. East, Laconia, on Monday, Oct. 30, and Tuesday, Oct. 31, during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), or with the Secretary of State’s Office, 107 N. Main St., Concord, beginning Monday, Oct. 30, until Nov. 3, at 5 p.m. Declarations for candidacy must be accompanied by either a $2 fee or a petition containing the names of five registered voters of the City of Laconia.
