Princess Anne was awarding the silver medallists, Great Britain, and of course the gold medallists, and the undisputed kings of sevens, Fiji. The princess duly responded in a similar fashion as she continued down the line of Fiji's towering champions. Their unique act of respect drew praise, as Fiji celebrated one of its greatest ever sporting achievements. But as she placed the medals around each Fijian player's neck, each one bowed as a sign of respect.
