Farmer Sudjai Saengpho's field in Tambon Bueng Khong Long's Ban Don Klang village has been drawing tourists to visit and pose for photos since the start of the winter when the flowers began blossoming. Sudjai said he had 10 rai of fields but the four-rai section near an irrigation dyke often flooded and damaged the paddy, so he mostly left it unplanted. It subsequently became covered yellow-eyed grass, which is considered a weed that blossoms with yellow flowers from late October and until December. Sudjai said the field looks like a sea of gold from afar, catching the eye of passing tourists with more than 200 stopping by each day. The flowers are in full bloom from 10am to 2pm, he added.
