A 13-year-old who asked to remain anonymous said she had tried smoking once, and it was "a big mistake." They're onto something - the Year 10 Snapshot study conducted by Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) and the University of Otago shows smoking uptake amongst school students has dropped to record level lows. "I think it's so uncool to be smoking - it wrecks your entire life. "Gross", "disgusting" and "stupid" are some of the ways young people describe smoking.
