"Air traffic has really soared in last three weeks or since this festive season with airlines offering low fares. Most international flights operate between 8pm to 1am. This is the peak period for handling international passenger load, both premium and economy flyers. We are getting lots of complaints from multiple airports of very long queues at immigration counters for economy flyers. To balance the load, MHA has decided to make more counters available to them. Therefore (they do) not have business class counters any more," Sinha told TOI.He said the ministry is trying to find a solution to the issue with MHA that can help both premium and economy international flyers.
