Umalla is the fifth female to graduate as PMA class valedictorian following Arlene de la Cruz (1999), Tara Velasco (2003), Andrelee Mojica (2007) and Rovi Mariel Martines (2017). She is the only female among four siblings, the eldest of whom is a graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy. C1C Glyn Elinor Buansi Marapao, 22, of Lengawan, Buguias, Benguet finished 8th overall and will receive the Navy Professional Courses Plaque. The graduating PMA class of 2019 is composed of 190 males and 73 females.
