CONTRIBUTED PHOTOCAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City: A wounded female combatant of the New People's Army (NPA) underwent medical treatment in the military's hospital here after she was captured and rescued by government forces in Bukidnon, the military said on Monday. The military identified the NPA rebel as Lody Han-ayan Ampildon alias "Diane," 18, a resident of Purok 5, Sitio Mahayag, Barangay St. Peter, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. On Friday, she was airlifted for treatment at the Army station hospital in Camp Evangelista here. Maj. Ronald Ancheta, officer-in-charge of the Army station hospital, said the military provided medical care for Diane, bringing the tally to nine major surgical operations and treatment extended to wounded communist rebels since January 2021.
