In a unanimous decision, Justice Md Raus who chaired the three-man panel, also dismissed an application to cross-examine EC chairman Datuk Seri Mohd Hashim Abdullah. Following the decision, it means the case will go back to the Kuala Lumpur High Court for case management of its main judicial review application. On Oct 19 last year, the Selangor government filed its case against the EC, Mohd Hashim and EC secretary Datuk Abdul Ghani Salleh. It sought to nullify the EC's notice of redelineation, claiming it violated the Federal Constitution. It wanted the court to quash the EC's notice and an order to direct it to publish a fresh notice on the proposed exercise.
