A vehicle has struck power lines along Burt Road in Matata. A man has died following a road smash near Matata in the Bay of Plenty. A section of State Highway 2 remains closed after a vehicle struck power lines along Burt Road about 4.25pm on Monday. In a statement, police said a man has died following the smash. The crash closed SH2 (Matata Road), between Manawahe Road and Flax Road.
