Preparations for a major makeover will begin in November on The Square side of the street between Church St and Main Street. Work on Palmerston North's $26 million makeover of the streets around The Square is set to start in November, but just in a small way. The compromise was to make a start on some "enabling" works so the main project could set off to a flying start early in 2019.
