Photo: Getty ImagesPolice and WorkSafe are expected to investigate the death of an Australian man who died after falling on the Routeburn Track in wet and windy conditions. Emergency services were called to the scene, between Lake McKenzie Hut and Routeburn Falls Hut, about 12.45pm yesterday. The 70-year-old Australian, who has not yet been named, had been part of a multi-day guided walk with Ultimate Hikes when he fell, about 12.30pm. Ultimate Hikes general manager Noel Saxon said conditions were wet and windy, but not considered unsafe to walk.
