Rask looked like a potential stud a few years ago when he totalled 21 goals and 48 points in his second season with the Canes. Still, unless he winds up staying on the top line, Shore’s trade doesn’t move the needle much on his fantasy stock. ♦ Cogliano, who went the other way in the trade, began his Stars tenure playing RW on the second line with Jason Spezza and Erik Condra. But our guess is that the team will want to take advantage of his hot stick to create a potential third scoring line. And he’s hot, having allowed just one goal his past two games, shutting out the powerful Capitals on Friday.
