Nicky Dalton died on February 1 following a "massive heart attack" on Corporation Bridge in Grimsby on January 12. His heart stopped for 15 minutes cutting off the blood supply to his brain, which caused severe brain damage. The bridge was closed for several hours following the incident, and despite the "brilliant care" Nicky received in hospital, he passed away 20 days later. She says that she can't understand how a man so young could suffer from a heart attack and wonders whether there is a genetic reason why it may have happened. She said: "Nicky had just taken his bike out to go to the shop when he had the heart attack.
