A tortured family feud over a $22m Canterbury farming estate may finally be resolved. The case was in the High Court for the ninth time in December 2019, when the two elderly trustees of the estate sought declarations to enable them to finally wind up the estate and pay its liabilities. The parties had effectively divided the assets up between themselves, leaving the trustees with nothing to pay the estate's liabilities. These included tax on rents on the estate assets that Philip and Alison had not paid. He made various orders requested by the trustees including the payment of pay rentals owed plus interest.
