By Ann O'LoughlinA 7-year old boy with cerebral palsy who sued over the circumstances of his birth at Cavan General Hospital has settled his High Court action for €9.1Million. Jarrah Folkman can't talk or walk and his mother today told the High Court she will never hear her son's voice. Elysha McCrudden and Ben Folkman, parents of Jarrah Folkman (7), of Station Rd., Cootehill, Co. Cavan, with their solicitor, Michael Boylan (L), speaking to media outside court after the hearing. Denis McCullough SC for Jarrah told the court that when Jarrah was born he was flat and unresponsive and he required resuscitation. Jarrah, he said needs 24-hour care and while the boy does not have speech, his parents can interpret his sounds.
