Airbnb has removed an Irish host permanently from its site for livestreaming guests with hidden cameras in the accommodation. A family from New Zealand recently discovered it was being livestreamed by a hidden camera at their accommodation in Cork. Nealie Barker wrote on Facebook: “We just found a camera hidden in a smoke alarm case in the private living room of a listing. A spokesman for Airbnb told The Irish Times: “We have permanently removed this bad actor from our platform. “There have been more than 500 million guest arrivals in Airbnb listings to date and negative incidents are incredibly rare.”
