Families in sombre mood as they wait at HKL to identify those perished in fire at tahfiz school


KUALA LUMPUR: Family members are waiting patiently to be called one by one to identify the remains of their relatives who died in the blaze that destroyed a tahfiz school yesterday. A father of one of the victims, who declined to be named, said he had provided his blood sample which would be used to identify the remains of his son. A neighbour to tahfiz students Azkar Dariemi and Azkar Abiedi F.Zaska, two brothers who perished in the fire, said family members were given numbers and they would be called in, to identify the remains of their children. The process is currently taking place at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital National Forensics Medicine Institute. The neighbour, who spoke on condition of anonimity, said: "It is a bit difficult to identify them because of their condition.
