The injured fifth grade students, Samiya Akhter Jemi, Purnima Pal, and Samiya Jahan, were in their class when the incident took place on the third floor of Town Model Girls Govt. Primary School, confirmed principal of the school, Shulka Rani Das. The building was made only a year ago, and the use of poor building materials might be responsible for the incident." All of the injured received first aid following the incident, but they told this correspondent they were still traumatized, fearing such incidents in the future.
