“The United States is a strong supporter of religious freedom and freedom of expression. A video clip, that later went viral on social media, showed Priya Saha pleading with the US President to save 18 million people of minority groups in Bangladesh from persecution. “The United States invited members of religious communities, civil society and government officials from 106 countries including Bangladesh to participate in ‘2019 Ministerial To Advance Religious Freedom’ held in Washington,” the US Embassy official added. Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen also participated in the event, said the official. “The ministerial participants were invited to speak about their experiences about religious freedom,” he added.
