MELAKA: A group of individuals wanted to do a noble thing: perform humanitarian services through a non-governmental organisation (NGO). A syndicate has been peddling fake memberships of the NGO as well as royal vehicle emblems to the masses. “I am still upset that the membership cards and emblems were still being sold and I want to tell the public not to be conned,” he said in an interview. “I was disappointed when I saw pictures of membership cards in full yellow coverings and vehicle emblems that were offered for sale to the public. “Our membership is by invitation only and we issue an appointment letter without issuing membership cards or giving away emblems,” he added.
