KULIM: The principal of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Air Merah Kulim here was treated to an unforgettable farewell on her last day at work before retirement recently. Teacher Abdul Aziz Ahmad said he and other teachers, students as well as the school’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) organised the event to ensure that Nor Ashikeen would be given a fitting send-off. “There were other performances too, such as nasyid and singing performances, poetry declamation and sporting activities by the students. Nor Ashikeen was indeed delighted by the ceremony and thanked everyone who was involved in the celebration. “The task of teachers nowadays is challenging, and I hope that all teachers at SMK Air Merah can continue their noble task of educating the children of the nation," she said.
