Fake circular on drugs in schools - Nation

PETALING JAYA: A circular purportedly from the Education Ministry on a drug called “Strawberry Quick” being distributed in schools is a fake. The fake circular is making its rounds on social media, warning school heads and teachers to be on the lookout for the drug. Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said in his Facebook page Friday that the memorandum, dated Jan 27, 2017, is a fake. The memorandum allegedly signed by Education Ministry acting head of student affairs Said Salleh also asked school staff to take appropriate action to stop the distribution of the drug. While the memorandum is in Bahasa Malaysia, the title is in grammatically incorrect English: “Awareness To The Parents, ‘New Drugs in School’.”
