MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Tuesday placed a bus company under preventive suspension after one of its units figured in an accident in Quezon City that left a motorcycle rider dead. In a three-page order, the transport regulator suspended for 30 days all 10 units of Fairview Bus Inc. Delgra said units of the bus company would undergo inspection to determine their road worthiness. The LTFRB also ordered the bus firm’s drivers and conductors to undergo drug testing and road safety seminar. Fitch de la Cruz died after being run over by a Fairview bus along Commonwealth Avenue on Monday.
